Cue the celebrations at UKIP HQ – they have a local councillor. The first for some time.
Well, kind of. They haven’t actually won an election. Nor have they managed to slip a candidate into a uncontested election so they can take a council seat without the inconvenience of having to persuade a majority of electors to vote for them, which is how these days they usually gain seats.
No, this time they have a defector.
Ground breaking
But what a defector. Amelia Randall, till now sitting on Kent Council for Reform UK, has jumped ship and hooked up with UKIP. From Reform to UKIP. Truly, a ground breaking event.
Ben ”Rogue Builder’ Walker , UKIP’s chairman, and Nick ‘Threesome’ Tenconi the party leader, can hardly believe what providence has delivered to them. One of Nigel Farage’s own has publicly stated her preference for UKIP, the UK’s fastest dying party.
Ms Randall clearly has insights into UKIP’s prospects denied to the rest of us mere mortals for she is a psychic clairvoyant. Well, that’s her occupation as recorded at Companies House on the records of her company Mystic Psychic Ltd.
Or, at least it was till the company was dissolved in 2021 after the usual statutory warnings for failing to provide accounts. Surely she should have seen that coming.
Abandoned Reform
And her psychic powers will have been stretched to their limit to have foreseen her abandoning Reform when, less than a week earlier, she reposted this:
This is not the first psychic to have graced UKIP in recent years. We recall the case of NEC member and Patron’s Co-ordinator Joanna Grzesiak who flew high in UKIP for an inexplicably short while last year before evidently deciding that sharing an office with Ben Walker was not the way she wanted to spend her days, and made a swift and graceful exit.
Like Ms Randall, her psychic powers appear not to have extended to providing insight into matters UKIP, or perhaps more importantly, matters Ben Walker.
One of Randall’s former Reform colleagues, speaking anonymously, has said that from the one time they met Randall, they concluded that she, er…had issues. She is also described as an inveterate attention-seeker.
She’ll fit in well at UKIP.
