Danny Tommo has announced plans to close down the port of Dover on Saturday, as well as sending teams of volunteers to France for an unspecified anti-migrant action.
In another online video, Tommo (real name Daniel Thomas) claimed that his “Operation Overlord 2” volunteers will be travelling to France from different ports and by different modes of transport, aiming to arrive there in the early afternoon. He has not disclosed what the action will be.
Suspicious
But he has also announced that women, and others who either don’t have passports or don’t want to go to France, should be in Dover for an action that will shut down the port from 2pm. He stressed that they should do nothing before 2pm or that might impede the travel of other volunteers to France.
The action in France, he emphasis repeatedly, will be non-violent. But his former comrades in Raise The Colours revealed last week that they had parted company with him after announced that he wanted to start riots on the beaches of northern France.
The whole thing has a deeply suspicious ring to it. Announcing his Dover plans in such detail, emphasising again and again that it would start at 2pm, seems designed to give the authorities plenty of warning and time to prepare. Why?
On the far right there are persistent suspicions about Tommo, a belief that he is not entirely what he seems.
Banned from France
It is interesting, of course, that he has come up with this plan for an action in France, which he admitted will lead to many arrests, after he himself had been banned from entering France so will not be there to bear the consequences.
And he has previous for this: after the 2024 Southport murders, he went online inciting his many thousands of followers to riot. “Every city has to go up” he told them. But when it all kicked off, Tommo was nowhere to be seen.
Then, a few nights later, after winding things up at a demonstration in Whitehall, he legged it when his followers clashed with police and the arrests began.
One possible explanation is that his ‘volunteers’ are just to be fodder for a money-making online video to be made by his chum Tommy Robinson. We hear that Robinson’s ‘Urban Scoop’ video channel will be there filming everything with a view to monetising the whole event on YouTube.
Anyone who answers Danny Tommo’s latest call to action is a fool, who on Sunday morning may be seriously regretting having got involved.
