Ryan Ferguson and his YouTube buddy Harry Jackson appeared before LIverpool magistrates today, denying a string of charges linked to an incident at a Liverpool hotel used to house asylum seekers.
The pair are charged with threatening behaviour, racially or religiously aggravated harassment, and aggravated trespass at The Richmond hotel on Hatton Garden on 12 July 2025.
The venue has been a recurring flashpoint, having faced anti‑migration protests last year.
Aggravated harassment
Both men entered not guilty pleas and opted for a trial before magistrates later this year. Jackson faces additional allegations from August 2025, including common assault on William Brown Street and a further count of racially or religiously aggravated intentional harassment against complainant Haaris Qureshi, which he also denied.
The hearing was brief. Ferguson refused to state his address in open court, responding “no comment” and citing “the presence of the mainstream media”. In the end he gave an address in Derby.
Jackson, whose YouTube channel Jackson Media frequently films Ferguson at events around the country and has over 10,000 subscribers, was warned by the bench after appearing to laugh during proceedings, with magistrates reminding him that contempt of court carries consequences. Both were granted unconditional bail.
Complicated case
Far-right supporters of the two men filled the public gallery, and photographs taken outside the court showed them surrounded by backers.
Magistrates described the matter as “complicated” and scheduled a case management hearing for 24 April.
