Well, as we have noted elsewhere, the far-right conference season is upon us and first out of the blocks (appropriately perhaps) is Paul Golding’s Britain First who posted this charming scene earlier today.
One of their members seems to own quite an upmarket garden shed, and they have dragged in a couple of TVs – thank goodness for White Friday, eh? (It’s exactly the same as Black Friday, but they can’t bear to use the phrase.)
Why there’s an arcade machine over on the left, we’re not sure. Perhaps they hold a mid-AGM games tournament. Pac-Man sounds unlikely. Though the enemy are all coloured characters, Pac-Man himself is yellow, which would surely trigger a burst of sinophobia.
Maybe it’s the Marjorie Taylor Greene edition of Space Invaders, where you are still tasked with preventing illegal aliens from crossing the channel, but gameplay is complicated by random potshots from Jewish Space Lasers. Whatever the game, judging by the size of the ’crowd’ the contest will probably open with the quarter-finals round.
We can’t be sure, but we suspect the man in the white baseball cap is wearing a faux silk ’Piston Broke’ jacket. If so, he could probably swap it with almost anyone else in the shed and the description would still be appropriate. Next up, is the Homeland Party conference to which, it seems, everyone is welcome.
Come one, come all…
