Mobilisation Day called on 18th February 2021 by SUTR and TUC for UN Anti-Racism Day on 20/3

With 38 days to go, the TUC and Stand up To Racism have called for a day of mobilisation for UN Anti Racism Day on Thursday 18th February to build awareness and participation for activities on 20th March.
In Britain, the day of action is being called by Stand Up To Racism and the Trade Union Congress (TUC). Safely socially distanced actions where possible will be combined with international linked online actions, including a major global rally at 5pm GMT.
On 18th February, across social media, unions, local groups, campaigns, faith and community organisations and individuals are encouraged to promote UN Anti Racism Day.

Here are a number of things you can do to support the mobilisation:

  2. Download our poster, take a picture with it and tag us ‘@Antiracismday‘ on Twitter using the hashtag #NoRacismNoFascism & #WorldAgainstRacism, ‘@Stand Up To Racism’ on Facebook, and ‘@Standuptoracismuk’ on Instagram.

The printed edition of The Evening Standard on Friday 12th February 2021 carried the above headline stating that ‘Patel refuses to say she has confidence in police boss over botched sex enquiry. The Evening Standard article on the website was quickly updated with the headline ‘Met chief Cressida Dick publicly backed by Priti Patel and Boris Johnson over bungled VIP child abuse inquiry’ as Boris Johnson issued a statement that he and Patel did have confidence in Cressida Dick.   Compare the article in the printed edition with the updated article on the Evening Standard website here
