Swansea City and Cardiff City to unite against racism on derby day as part of new fan campaign

Saturday’s clash between the two sides falls on the same day as United Nations Anti-Racism Day, and arrives on the back of fervent debate on what football can do to stamp out discrimination.

The latest campaign, ‘Rivals on the pitch. United against racism’, has been spearheaded by fans on both sides of the South Wales divide, and has gathered momentum since the recent racial abuse directed at Swans star Yan Dhanda on social media earlier in the season.

School drops legal action after Muslim girl told her skirt was too long

Siham Hamud’s father says he is pleased Uxbridge high school listened to the family’s concerns. Siham Hamud, 12, had described being bullied for her religious beliefs after being sent home every day in December from Uxbridge high school in Hillingdon, west London, and told to only come back when she wore a shorter skirt.
