Well, we do seem to have upset Danny Tommo. He’s ranting all over social media, accusing us of lying about him abandoning his auditor mates in France.
But he can’t escape the facts. Here’s a rough timeline:
- Reece Grant, a far-right auditor who streams as STB Audits, and his mate were arrested in France on Sunday evening, after travelling there to be part of Tommo’s absurd ‘Operation Overlord’ pantomime and photo-opp.
- Until yesterday (Tuesday) morning there was not a word about their arrest on Tommo’s usually hyper-busy social media accounts.
- During that time, Grant’s family were trying, unsuccessfully, to contact Tommo to get him to help. He didn’t respond.
- At 11.20 yesterday we published the story that Tommo had abandoned Grant and his friend.
- Ten minutes later, Tommo is claiming, for the first time, that he’s trying to contact Grant’s family through posts on Grant’s YouTube channel.
- Last night, at around 9pm, Grant’s partner posted on the same channel. She still hasn’t heard from him. She says it’s not true that she didn’t want help from Tommo. (We never claimed that). She said that, on the contrary, she had been trying to contact him. But no response.
- Then, three hours later, Tommo posts calling us liars and claiming, finally, that he is in direct contact with Grant’s family. And maybe by then he was. But he took his time.
It’s quite clear what happened. Tommo called out his troops for a pretend ‘invasion’ of France, raised a lot of money, took a few photographs and came home.
He couldn’t care less about the two hapless idiots who had got themselves nicked. He was only stirred into action when his betrayal was publicised.

Not connected
That same post from Grant’s partner makes the curious claim that Grant was not connected with Tommo’s activities and that Tommo “had nothing to do with my partner going to France that was all off his own back”.
There is a problem with this. Several problems in fact: Grant’s own social media posts:
So Reece Grant and his mate may have been gullible mugs letting themselves get involved with a grifter like Tommo, but let’s not overlook the fact that Grant himself is as nasty a piece of racist work as you are likely to find.
Reports from France suggest that the two may now have been released from preventative detention and be awaiting deportation, under the very same procedures that apply to illegal migrants.
Well, all good things have to come to an end sometime…
