As we predicted , Britain First leader Paul Golding has found it very difficult – in fact impossible – to get new insurance for his ‘laughably named ‘battle bus’ which languishes in a police pound in Manchester.
As a result, we are moving close to the time when the police will simply crush or auction it off.
And a furious Golding has now been told by police that that is exactly what’s going to happen.
He received an email from them on Tuesday informing him it has been “authorised for disposal”.

Golding blames the fact that some 40 insurance companies have turned him down on some gigantic “behind the scenes” police conspiracy.
It’s more likely, of course, that when he discloses to potential new insurers, as he must, that he has received a Section 59 notice which he both failed to notify to his previous insurers and then went on to breach twice, they simply want nothing to do with him.
The whole saga began when Golding decided it would be oh-so-funny to parade the vehicle around displaying a gigantic ‘Keir Starmer is a wanker’ banner.
But on his first trip out, to Manchester, he was served with a Section 59 order and told the vehicle would be seized if he did it again.
So he did. At both the Labour and Conservative party conferences. And both times it was seized. You can read all about it here.
But now Golding is left feeling not so clever after all. It’s bye-bye battle bus.
We have asked Greater Manchester Police if we can film the vehicle being rendered into a small cube of scrap metal…
