Tommy Robinson is obviously making the most of his time before his next court appearance on Monday when he will face an outstanding Terrorism Act offence and may face yet more jail time.
First, there was another of those mysterious flying visits he makes to Portugal on his own. This time a couple of days in the rather upmarket and expensive Quinta so Lago area on the Algarve, where he dined, apparently solo, at Yu Algarve by Victor Yu.
Billionaire train nut
Then back in the UK Robinson – real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon – popped up as a guest traveller aboard a luxury locomotive in the company of Laurence ‘Loosa’ Fox.
This was interesting. The train is actually named The Chairman’s Set and belongs to billionaire train nut Jeremey Hosking, well-known benefactor of both Fox’s Reclaim Party (over £4 million) and Nigel Farage’s Reform UK (£1.7million).
Is Mr Yaxley-Lennon in line for a bung? We shall just have top wait and see.
Robinson’s promised trip to Israel as the guest of the Diaspora Minister Amichai Chikli may actually be delayed a little depending on how Robinson fares on court on Monday.
Terrorism offence
He is charged under the Terrorism Act with refusing to hand over the PIN for his mobile phone when he was detained at Folkestone Eurotunnel terminal last year, as he was skipping the country to duck facing prison for contempt of court.
Britain First leader Paul Golding already sports a conviction for a similar offence after refusing to give police access to his mobile phone on his return from a trip to Russia
Robinson is whining online that he may be going back to jail, and is calling for a demonstration of support outside the court.
We won’t be there. Lock him up!
